We want to give students real working prospective and at the same time, to develop professional profiles immediately able to respond to the needs and requests of the organizations operating humanitarian aid.

To provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills requested to a logistician employed in humanitarian operations, through classroom lessons, seminars, workshops, practical simulations and laboratory researches.
The Humanitarian Logistics Master is the fruit of the collaboration between an academic institution and humanitarian organizations strongly active in the sector.
The aim of the joint design is to fill the gap between the real need of logisticians able to operate efficiently and effectively into humanitarian operations and the scarcity of dedicated educational paths.
Teaching in the programme consists of lectures and seminars in which students are expected to play an active part. Simulations of activities in the field will be a relevant part of the course. Writing a Master's thesis with guidance from a supervisor.
The master is structured with a blended formula: in presence practical lessons will be concentrated during the weekends (one per month) and will be alternated with interactive, immersive and engaging online lessons and e-learning activities. Through the online platform it will be possible to deepen the course topics. Through webinars students will have the possibility to further keep in touch with experts working in remote areas.
The last session will be an intensive full week of simulation of a humanitarian intervention, so to give the possibility to apply all the knowledge acquired during the Master.
The blended formula allows the participation of who is already working but wants to acquire skills in the sector so to start a new career.
